Christmas with the Salvos

‘Christmas with the Salvos’, is The Salvation Army’s television Christmas special, airing on Channel 7, that aims to bring the joy and hope to people this festive season.

The 30 minute television special, back for its third year, highlights the inspirational works of the Salvos from across key areas of across country, showcasing stories from work done in homelessness, drug and alcohol rehabilitation and natural disaster support.

This years special is hosted by TV icon and Salvos ambassador Ray Meagher (Home and Away) and features Salvos champions including The Wiggles, James Tobin and JD Smith.


‘Christmas with the Salvos’ will air on Channel 7 on Saturday 10th December at 12.00pm. It will have encore screenings on Christmas Eve (Saturday 24th December) at 12.00pm and Christmas Day (Sunday December 25th) at 11.30am. It will also be available to stream on 7Plus from December 10.


‘Christmas with the Salvos’ coincides with The Salvation Army’s Christmas Appeal, which aims to raise $23 million to ensure that Aussies doing it tough can get the support they need this Christmas.

At Christmas time, The Salvos distribute hundreds of thousands of gifts and toys, over 64,000 hampers and over 130,000 meals to those who are struggling during the Christmas period, and this cannot happen without the generosity of the Australian public.
