Modern Slavery Statement
The Salvation Army, as both a church and a charity, has a long history in speaking about justice, compassion and other issues that support the welfare of others. Through direct services, raising awareness, education and community support we are responding to modern slavery in Australia.
This modern slavery statement recognises that our journey to know and address our modern slavery risks is ongoing and represents a living document for our continued initiatives. It is integral for The Salvation Army Australia Territory to articulate our vision of seeing lives transformed through the love of Jesus.
Recent years have been incredibly tough with drought, bushfires, floods and a global pandemic.
We have seen this result in increased vulnerability but also a newfound ability to quickly, creatively and collaboratively adapt which we will strive to apply in our modern slavery initiatives.
