Salvos Legal

Salvos Legal provides free legal services to clients across New South Wales. We believe that no one should be without a trusted legal advisor in their time of need. Since we began, we have helped in more than 24,000 cases.

Our aim is not only to exist as a legal service. We understand the importance of access to justice, the protection and advancement of human rights, and work towards making systemic change in the community. We also recognise that our clients often have other pressing non-legal needs and are managing other complicated issues in their lives. Our holistic approach connects clients with The Salvation Army’s full range of social welfare services to help address the underlying causes of injustice.

We can provide free legal advice or full representation in the following areas:

  • Migration and refugee law
  • Police matters
  • Family and children’s law
  • Human rights and public interest law

We can also assist with referrals to other legal services.
