Help the environment and your community by donating your quality used clothing, furniture and homewares to the Salvos.

Help the environment and your community by donating your quality used clothing, furniture and homewares to the Salvos. You'll introduce less waste into the environment and help raise money for our vital community projects.

What can I donate?

The best things to donate are things that you would be happy to keep using yourself but just don't need anymore. Typical things you can donate include:

  • Clothes
  • Toys
  • Furniture
  • Homewares
  • Electrical items

What can't I donate?

It costs The Salvation Army millions of dollars each year to dispose of unsellable items that have been dumped outside our stores.

Please don't donate anything that is broken, damaged, torn, ripped, stained or in anyway faulty. As a simple rule, if there's something wrong with it then we can't sell it.

Please note that in some instances, because of government regulations, we are unable to accept white goods/electrical items and mattresses even if these things are in perfect condition. Contact us if you are unsure of anything.

How to donate

Please ensure that you deliver your donation during business hours so that it can be safely received. It is illegal to leave goods outside most stores after hours as these form a public hazard. On top of that, if it rains then we are unable to sell any of your used items and it all needs to be scrapped.

If you have large items that you can't deliver yourself, please call 13 SALVOS or visit the Salvos Stores website to arrange a collection.
